DESCRIPTION:
Archival photography shows the 1956 model rolling down the production line at GM's top-secret St. In this third installment of the series, Corvette authority Noland Adams covers the smallest details of Corvette's fourth production year. Louis assembly plant, turning heads on American street corners, and taking on all comers at racing venues.
"Great content, weak publication" according to Abel Davos. This could easily have been an excellent book. Noland Adams obviously has huge knowledge of the subject, and he will tell you exactly which prototype racer did not have a certain bit of side trim and why. The presentation of the book, however, is a big disappointment with no color illustrations at all except for the shot on the dust jacket. The black and white reproduction of the mainly color source photos is often weak and lacks crispness. American sports car racing in the fifties was a colorful affair and should be represented as such. Anybody interested enough in the subj.
