I bought this book when investigating rail options for a family vacation in Europe. I thought it was well done. I liked the specific instructions for rail stations and the information to purchase ahead of time over the web, which saved us a great deal of money. It also should have mentioned that the earlier you buy tickets the cheaper they are for many rail systems (we bought for Thalys). The side trip info and how do them wi. Full of information that will rapidly become out of date Pending my trip by interrail I bought this book, hoping that it would give me some insights in what to see. Although this is not a complete review of the book - since we only visited western Europe. However, I find the book a great disapointment.The book is filled with information that I find odd to have in a book called "Europe By Eurail".
