DESCRIPTION:
This book focuses on Ford's medium-duty line—everything is covered from the early Canopied Express and continues through the various models and engines, sales figures, styling and technical developments, and much more.. Ford Medium-duty trucks are rugged, dependable, economical, and easy to work on. Ford helped ease the growing pains of American evolution by building hundreds of thousands of tough trucks for medium-duty service. From early conversion kit trucks used mainly by farmers, Ford's trucks and chassis became common for utility maintenance, construction, school bus transportation, towing, dumping, firefighting, and camping
Ford Medium-Duty Trucks 1917-1998 Very interesting book. The photos and text complment each other. Easy to read.. "A bit disappointing, despite the interesting photos" according to P. R. Lord. I bought this seeking an organized visual overview of lighter duty Ford commercial trucks, and the C-series "Tilt Cabs" in particular. While I don't dispute the authors genuine enthusiasm for, and knowledge of Ford trucks, in my opinion the book suffers in places from a lack of editing to avoid, for example, consecutive sentences that begin wit. I am very happy . The book was ver informative on the section that I required. 1917 to 1925.A lot of other very interesting info on later years also which I will endeaver to read at a latter dateThe USPS postal service was exceptionally fast & efficient.
