With a new twist and deeper insight into the relationship between Nina and Fran this book delves deeper into the arcane and occult training that Fran had. We also get a new look at Nina from a different aspect that shows the true scars she wears on her heart after all she has endured in the previous books. JD Glass has a wonderful talent for drawing the reader into a world full of excitement, the prospect of love, and the never ending bonds that can be created between people who are open to love. 6. Gorgeous imagery. Beautiful characters. I became enamored with Nina's honesty from the moment I read Punk Like Me. I finally understood Samantha after reading American Goth. And my admiration and passion for Fran and her love for them both is unwavering after reading Punk and Zen and now, especially, Glass Lions. To say I was excited to read this book is a huge understatement. JD Glass uses wonderful detail to describe both physical and emotional experiences. So much so that you feel them as a reader.
