That may not seem like a beaming recommendation, but please hear me out. He is a wordsmith, with easy prose and a familiar tone that brings you into his confidence without it seeming uncomfortable. He tells stories of encounters with patients and their effect on him. He tells of the shared pain, between doctor and patient, when the healthcare . I've long been an admirer of Jordan's skill as a storyteller -- actually, I'm green with envy -- and his empathic devotion to his patients. Each of his stories immediately grab and hold a reader's attention from beginning to end. Bottom line, he cares truly cares about each of his patients, and it shows in his writings.He is also deeply concerned about the increasing industrialization of medicine to the point where it's becoming more like a conveyor belt than the art of heali.
