DESCRIPTION:

David Adamy is an internationally recognized expert in electronic warfare with over 47 years’ experience in the field and is a past National President of the Association of Old Crows.

in Communication Theory from the University of Santa Clara, and his B.S.EE. Adamy received his M.S.EE. David L. --. He is also the author of EW 101: A First Course in Electronic Warfare and Preparing and Delivering Effective Technical Presentations, Second Edition (Artech House 2001, 2000), as well as several other books. Adamy is president of Adamy Engineering and previously worked as a systems engineer and program manager on EW and reconnaissance programs delivering systems from "DC to light" on platforms from submarines to space, and many associated modeling and simulation efforts. Mr. from Arizona State University.

You get clear explanations of important mathematical concepts, such as decibel notation and spherical trigonometry. This informative reference explains how to facilitate the generation of realistic computer models of EW equipment. A detailed resource for entry-level engineering personnel in EW, military personnel with no radio or communications engineering background, technicians and software professionals, the work helps you understand the basic concepts required for modeling and simulation, as well as fidelity and other practical aspects of simulation design and application. The book concludes with a description of the various types of models and simulations and the ways they are applied to training and equipment testing tasks.. Moreover, it describes specific types of EW equipment, how they work and how each is mathematically modeled. Written by a well-known expert in the field with more than 24 years of experience, the book explores EW applications and techniques and the radio frequency spectrum, with primary emphasis on HF (high frequency) to microwave. This unique book covers the whole field of electronic warfare modeling and simulation at a systems level, including chapters that describe basic electronic warfare (EW) concepts

Very basic introduction to complex subjects I struggled on the rating that I would give to this text. For those needing the absolute most basic knowledge of this material, especially those with little mathematics or engineering background, this is an excellent text that is a very accessible introduction. Ultimately, I decided to rate it based on the needs of more experienced engineers who may be venturing into the world of Electronic Warfare (EW), the creation of models for such systems, and the application of those in simulations and test environments. From that perspective, I give it a lower rating. This text attempts to tackle a numb. Plunkett said GOOD EXPLANATIONS BUT WATERED DOWN. MADE SIMPLE BUT WATERED DOWN MATERIAL FROM A PERSPECTIVE OF MATHEMATICS GOOD FOR JUST GETTING IDEAS ABOUT THINGS. I WISH THERE WAS MORE MATH IN THE BOOK TO ACCOMMODATE THE TEXT.. DaleBr said Adamy is a knowledgeable EW expert/author. Good Electronic Ware book to initially learn from, and for reference.
