DESCRIPTION:
RobynB said Great book for enthusiasts. I own a few of the fixtures in this book, so was excited to get this resource. I will say that the illustrations are not quite accurate to the actual fixtures, but that is the fault of the original ads, not this book. Very nice reference for this type of lighting.. Great pictorial history of depression lighting. Excellent book if you are interested in lighting styles of the 1920's and very early 30's. This book is of particular interest to me because I am currently using several of the items pictured.. Good book - but not for me Christine Moran Was not useful to me. I thought it was something else. If you need info on the lighting featured on the coveryou won't be disappointed.
They sold to restaurants and even a dealer in Los Angeles who leased fixtures to the movie industry. REVIEW: This book is the fourth in a five-volume set by noted Indian relics authority Lar Hothem. The hundreds of arrowheads and artifacts featured will be invaluable to collectors, and the book has no repeats from his other volumes.. The first of two new volumes, this book contains material from authentic catalogs of the 1920s, which depict styles of authentic residential (ceiling, sconces, lamps), commercial, and outdoor lighting that illuminated America during the Depression era. AUTHORBIO: The late Jo Ann Thomas, along with her husband Francis, specialized in old lighting for years, buying and selling from coast to coast. The styles shown span the eras from the daring Art Deco to the classics. 2001 values. Companies represented include Gill Glass and Fixture Company, Gillinder and Sons Inc., Meletio Electrical Supply Co., and Halcolite Company, Inc
