paid a lot for a little I ordered a new book and this one came with the spine or the pages ripped from the hard cover. Paid 120 for a book that looks like it was carried around in a back pack by a 5 year old all year. Heres what to take from this review, Spend a couple of extra bucks and buy it brand new from another retailer. "Machine Elements in Mechanical Design is a great work!" according to Ryan Siefring. I really have enjoyed using this book. It's a great overview of all elements in a mechanical design and the calculations necessary to make sure those elements do not fail under load. The book is written in a way that makes it easy to use. Just the right blend of explanation, calculation, and Graphs are used to provide the user with an excellent resource for many years of engineering work. I love this book and find it very valuable to have in collection of mechanical engineering books.. One I will keep This is a great textbook. Very good reference with some great tables and information in the appendix. If you need this book for a class, get it and keep it for future use.
