Great beginner book I love this book. I bought it because I wanted to learn more about makeup. It has lots of little tips, hints, and different looks to try. I love Aucoin's attitude that there isn't a wrong way to do make up - just different preferences! I especially like the last few pages that have different looks and step-by-step instructions on how to try them out.My only complaint is that there aren't specific brand recommendations most of the ti. He shows the model without makeup and then with the makeup on, so you can really see what he has done. He also breaks it down into eyes, brows, lips, etc. I actually use this book to DRAW the faces, not to learn how to put on makeup. So it has a dual purpose for me..
