DESCRIPTION:
He captures the Choppers in their element--hanging out with fellow hot rodders, catching their favorite bands, traveling to car shows far and wide, and cruising in their cool-as-hell hot rods. The Electroline Diaries is a window into the unique lifestyle of the Choppers that has influenced gearhead culture around the world. Burbank Choppers celebrates today's kustom kulture from an insider's perspective, and is sure to become a landmark of car and pop culture.. In The Electroline Diaries, author Laurent Bagnard and his trusty Nikon F2 follow the Choppers on a journey through southern California, Las Vegas, and even a huge hot rod show in Yokohama, Japan, where the Choppers were guests of Mooneyes, the famed speed parts company
Bagnard lives in France with his wife and two sons.. The rest is history, and the result is Burbank Choppers: Electroline Diaries. He published Cheatersville in 2004, which profiled one of Europe’s most innovative car clubs. After seeing the Burbank Choppers building a hot rod on RIDES, he flew to California and started talking with them about old metal
"Much of Bagnard's work is captured in wonderful photographs you'll be tempted to tear out and frame on your garage wall." --Old Cars Weekly, October 2007"Bagnard captures images of these cars, their handlers, and the environment in which they operate in a grainy way that only a photo lost to a shoebox in the back of a spare-room closet can." --Street Rodder, February 20082007 International Automotive Media Gold Award for book illustrations and photos. --IAMA Awards

Nice pictures, but otherwise lacking Bought this book from Keith Weesner's table at a show. Several nice pictures in it, but the text was lacking. Readable, but did not seem to have a lot of substance and was very forgettable. There are lots of other books out there on the subject with better photos and/or better stories that are a much better read. Realistically, I wou. Murl J. Sprout Jr. said This Book Is A Waste. Remember how you felt reading Henry Felsen's Hot Rod and Street Rod as a kid? This book isn't going to make you feel like that. You know how you can stare at the best pictures from Rolling Stone magazine and feel you know Bruce Springsteen personally? This book isn't like that, either. In fact, this book is almost a complete failure.
