This book is not for those who want slick pictures and diagrams, but it does deliver on what it intends to deliver, a great and informative history of the USS Olympia. Hopefully it will aslo inspire those who are trying to save this great ship which is in such current peril. The photos included in the book are useful, but due to the photographic quality of that particular period are difficult to produce with the clarity that we would prefer, however the content of the photographs is what actually counts.
