A Captivating Story Frazzled It was nice to return to the world of Brandt & Donnelly; such a refreshing diversion from our real world. I Shan't wait so long for my next visit. I was disappointed that , whereas a primary theme of the story was the destructiveness of religious nonsense, the author ends with all continuing to subject themselves to more of the same, albeit a slightly different flavor (lesson NOT learned). Bronze Age primitives who made up God designed Him to be tolerant of few (essentially only those who made Him . B rating My Review:This is an interesting book just in that there are four POV's, as the story follows all four of these guysBrandt & Donnelly and Jonah & Casey. Jonah & Casey are still in high school and they are both 18. I did appreciate the fact that the author seemed to keep in mind that they are both still really young. They had some hot scenes together, but they were kept on the tamer side while Brandt & Donnelly made up the REALLY HOT scenes.In this story, Brandt & Donnelly are investigating a case o. "Wonderful Series of Books" according to Lauren Prouty. I love the Brandt & Donnelly series by X. Mayne. Talk about well written - the dialogue between the characters is wonderful (great sense of humor). Not only that but the book offers scenes that are so beautifully sexy, touching, serious, inspiring, laugh out loud funny - that's a good book. Not only are Brandt and Donnelly center stage but they share it with an equally interesting couple - Casey and Jonah.
