DESCRIPTION:
Women's recovery can differ from men's, and each person's recovery is in many ways unique. Designed to be used in conjunction with A Women's Way Through the Twelve Steps, this workbook helps deepen and extend understanding of the lessons taught there and further empowers each woman to take ownership of her recovery process as well as her growth as a woman.. In sections devoted to each of the Twelve Steps, Covington blends narrative, self-assessment questions focused on a feminine definition of terms such as ''powerlessness'' and ''letting go,'' guided imagery exercises, and physical activities. That's why Stephanie Covington has designed this workbook A Women's Way
GREAT for re-doing steps but not really for first-timer. Mary J. Great for re-doing or reviewing your 12-step program. I don't recommend this for a first-timer.. Five Stars Amazon Customer It has some good material and tools that can be implemented with my clients.. Excellent Tool for any woman in recovery I have used this book personally and professionally for recovery issues. I can't reccommend it highly enough. If you or someone you care about is in early recovery or even if you are in recovery a long time and could use a refresher, this book is phenomenal. It is written simply, with no "jargon" and is very helpful in guiding you to focus on what you need to in order to live a purposeful and peaceful life in recovery, step by step. Progress not perfection. I give it to all my female counseling clients.
