Enjoyable and Informative This is the first edition of this book to be published by Pragmatic Bookshelf, which I believe is an excellent fit as a company for the book's content. The second edition was published back in 2000 by a publisher who specializes these days in a different sort of content. Plus, I love The Pragmatic Programmers series by Pragmatic Bookshelf and this history contained here belongs in this series. I feel like I am stepping back in time with Bill Gates Anthony Garcia I just started to read Fire in the Valley and it immediately drew me in! Right from the start, I feel like I am stepping back in time with Bill Gates and witnessing the birth of the personal computer. I can tell it’s going to be a great read. If you are a techie, a history buff, or just want a great read then I highly recommend this book. I also learned the movie “Pirates of Silicon Valley” featuring Bill Gates and Steve jobs was based off this book. How cool is that!
