DESCRIPTION:
This book is a valuable addition to every BMW owner's library.. These 1980s and 1990s era cars were offered with a wide range of engine/transmission combinations, but the basic chassis was so well engineered that owners were able to enjoy an outstanding combination of comfort and handling performance regardless of the powertrain. The model that truly launched BMW into the performance arena in the United States were the second generation of 3-series cars, the "E30" chassis cars. This book offers current and future owners a wealth of important information, including a buyer's guide, year-by-year upgrades and changes, and more. Exterior appearance items are also covered, as are maximum wheel and tire sizes for the entire family of 3-series E30 BMWs. Good read! Luis Lebron I found my answers quickly and have set a plan to resto modding my E30 thanks to this book. Pretty easy read and a few good pointers.. This books value is wholly in it's pictures. I'm not happy that this book is long on filler, has very few useful facts, and contains zero insight. It isn't until Chapter 3, nearly one-third of the way through the book, that the "performan. Descriptive and thorough An extremely thorough book for people who own or are interested in this make of BMW. The pictures and instructions for repairs or modifications are very detailed. There is also a good discussion of the collectibility and popularity of these models and what to look for when shopping for one of these cars for restoration. Excellent.
"This book by Robert Bowen really is the 'bible' for someone looking to upgrade their E30. Each section of the car -- the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes and so on--is given its own dedicated chapter where suitable upgrades and modifications are discussed in detail, as well as external and cosmetic modifications."
