every engineer needs this book I just got out of college and my boss just keep asking me if I had got the book yet because I always needed to barrow his. This book has every mechanical piece of info you could ever need. well worth the price they charge considering it could replace all my college books worth over 1000 dollars.. MDC said Machinery's Handbook "Machinery's Handbook 27th Edition CD (Machinery's Handbook (CD-ROM))" according to MDC. This is nothing but overly secured PDF file that takes more time to use than the old book. This is poorly done with no effort towards user interface. An internet connection is required for the live math to work. I use the book often and was exited to see it on CD. I am extremely disapointed by the CD version. I think I will stick with the book until they decide to actually make a PC version that is useful. I. 7th Edition CD (Machinery's Handbook (CD-ROM)). Acrobat 7 is supported; patch required Bob in Gaithersburg Industrial Press has a notice on their website that Acrobat 7 will now work as long as it is patched to version 7.0.5. Just an update from the earlier review which states that Acrobat 7 is not supported at all, which it probably wasn't when it was written.
