I used this book for an Intermediate GIS class, and it gives very clear directions on what to do, and the CD that comes with it has all the data that you need to complete the exercises. This book gives plenty of information, while also letting people veer off on their own and learn their way around GIS.. Poor instruction Ali Bought this for an independent study course. Some steps are well detailed, but other times when they tell you to do something, they don't tell you which tool to use, where to find it, or how to use it.
