Even Better than the First! As I was reading this second instalment in the Mark Julian series, I felt that the author had hit his stride! Mark and human lover Detective Vinnie were back as well as Mark's delightful secretary sex demon - incubus Jaime. This character is a wonderful edition to the series and played a major role in this story.The author again drew on historical facts to flesh out his story which I think added a lot of flavour and dimension to the novel. What a difference in editing! I wish I'd marked down the specifics, but there were only a couple of moments that I caught an odd phrasing or misuse of punctuation, so they really didn't disturb the flow of the story nor the entertainment it provided!
