Good reference for students & beginner professionals. A Customer This book is only meant for those with formal training in haircutting. It is a good reference book for students and fresh graduates of cosmetology. The diagrams were understood by me (I am a student at a local cosmetology school) but would confuse the average person. It is published by the same company who publishes our textbook, and I believe it was meant as purely a supplemental book to our basic education at cosmetology school.. A purely technical guide only for experienced barbers. I was looking for a book that could help me learn how to cut hair, this was not it. It may be a valuable book for people who already know how to cut hair but I found it to be fairly useless for beginners. It contains very little text and a lot of drawings which aren't really explained. Don't buy this book unless you already know how to cut hair.
