DESCRIPTION:
It's a good reference guide for this great way to travel.. This book is loaded with practical information to help you enjoy this wonderful experience. It even features a directory of motorcycle-only campgrounds in the U.S. It's one of the best ways to enjoy nature on vacation, and it's definitely better than holding up in a fleabag motel. It covers the basics of evaluating your bike for load-carrying capacity, how to use and where to buy camping gear, planning and packing for the trip, cooking at a campfire, and much more. More and more riders are learning the benefits of motorcycle camping as the sport gains in popularity in the U.S
Motorcycle Camping Made Easy Some of the information was useful, if a bit dated. Most of the campsites were East coast locations and the one California site is closed. If you have backpacking skills and equipement (light weight, rugged, collapsible gear) and apply this information to motorcycle touring you probably don't need to buy this book. For the dreamer, not doer, or for the amateur motorcyclist this book may be more interesting.. Worthwhile Lots of practical advice, some of which covers generic camping issues. Many points are covered which deserve consideration. Reading this book made me feel better about my upcoming motorcycle camping trip. An easy read - I consumed it in 3 hours, but I skipped the chapter on trailers (towing a trailer with your bike, not towing your bike on a trailer). Chapters are nicely separated and laid out, and need not be read in order, I jumped back and forth a bit.. "A bit much" according to Old Greybeard. I have been camping with a motorcycle for well over A bit much I have been camping with a motorcycle for well over 30 years and found the information in this book to be great if you are pulling a trailer or have a chase vehicle other than a two wheeler. The longest I spent on "the road" was 3 weeks and was comfortable with carrying a lot less gear than the author suggests.
