My demons were different but my lack of victory in my life mirrored his own. My Evangelical teaching left me feeling hopeless in the face of my repeated sins. All my self discipline, Bible memory and Bible study did not open the door to freedom but the power of Jesus' authority expelling the demons that plagued me then made all. Good - but subtitle a bit misleading I read this book and enjoyed it and think the author had some very valid points. However, the subtitle ("The Spiritual Roots of Addiction") left me hungering for more than the content offered. The author touched on addiction with his own testimony but didn't really explore it in the depth that I expected. The book mainly focused on a rebuke to the evangelical world for being slow to accept the operation of demons today rather than examining addiction's connectio
