4 stars gruvermom I am a HUGE fan of NR Walker's books and have read NEARLY all that are available. I'm not sure why I waited so long to read this series but, I am glad I finally did. I am a HUGE fan of books with protectors (policemen, military personnel, body guards, etc.) so this was right up my alley! There was little angst until the end when an 'event' changed these characters' lives.VERY well . stars I am a HUGE fan of NR Walker's books and have read NEARLY all that are available. I fell hard for both main characters, and even though I prefer my m/m stories to be with proud and out men, it made perfect sense here for the two of them to still be in the closet.What I adore is when a man actually sounds like a man in a story, which they all do in this one. And I love that not only are there also nationalities other than Amer. Outstanding! This story reads like a master class in MM romance writing! Book Lover So many mm romance writers make the mistake of giving their male characters dialogue and emotions that end up making them sound like women -- maybe because many of these writers are, in fact, women.
