It is not long on written detail, but there is enough to tell the story of the car's history from the original 917 to the 917-30. It is all black and white except for the excellent picture on the cover. Most of the pictures are new to me. Good pictures of the flat 12 engine and other parts. The story, mostly in picture captions, covers the 917 from its original form, through the . Pass BC Very basic history. Too many versions were omitted. I wish there were color pictures other than on the cover. Even for the price I find it hard to recommend.
