DESCRIPTION:

"Text Based on Visualization Techniques and Software" according to John Matlock. This book is intended to provide an introduction to robotics with a special emphasis on mathematically modelling the movements of robot manipulators. It is suitable for a senior level undergratuate or a beginning year graduate level course in robotics. This book is primarily aimed at how robots move things around in an industrial automation environment rather than the more popularized 'build your own robot' type of book.It is mathematically rigorous and the student should have some understanding of matrix manipulation, ve. "Arguably worst book on robotics" according to Drew Wang. The most generous thing I can say about this book is that I do not know if it is just poorly edited/proofread, or simply badly written by someone who undoubtedly knows some robotics but has no idea how to explain it. In any event, not only is the writing weak, the explanations confusing, many of the equations are simply wrong as printed! Look at all the mistakes on pp. 56-57 or pp. 60-61, for example. You want specifics? How about Equation (2.58) on p. 57? It is so obviously incorrect that it is just embarrassing. I feel . "Author comments" according to RM. I am the author of this book. As with nearly all first print books, this one does contain a few misprints and errors. The editorial process is a complicated one and errors are created at all levels. However, the errors have all been compiled, thanks in part to readers, researchers, instructors, and students, who have been kind enough to report them to me. Corrections to all known errors are available as an errata sheet that can be obtained from the publisher or from myself directly. Those that contacted me for an errata s
