An extremely raw and honest sort-of memoir. Is that the correct word for autobiographical writing of a brief snapshot of life, written as the moments happened? I am a gay trans man who struggles with PTSD and severe anxiety myself, so this was especially relatable to me. DeLine is certainly not a perfect, level-headed person making perfect, level-headed decisions, which is why I love this so much, related so much. I wish I could find more authors this willing to speak of mistakes and the unending stress of living as a gay person, a trans person, a traumatized person, in this way.
