The Author started his story in Compton Ca. and continued until he retired from the LACOSO after thirty years. We both worked the same areas, East Compton, Firestone Park and all it's areas. He did a lot more than I did with my career but as with all good cops it cost t him a lot in his private life. Back when he came on the job it had to be a calling, not just a job. Being a cop back t. Now, I understand much more and respect anyone who chooses this as a career.
