DESCRIPTION:
Not the best in the series! For me The Last Thing I Saw is not the best in the Donald Strachey mystery series. I truly love the series and am a fan of Richard Stevenson but this book just didn't seem to do it for me lioke the others did. It did not grab me from the start like its predecessors and at various points, I found it slow moving. When I clicked on the three star rating, the prompt. "Donald and Timothy are Always Interesting" according to Mike W.. The Donald Strachey series always has good mystery plotting, although Don's physical abilities in fights with the bad guys are sometimes a little hard to believe. It would be nice if author Stevenson gave us more about Timothy and more sexual interaction between Don and Tim as well as other characters. These stories could easily be about a straight detective.. Strachey Donald Strachey mysteries are always fun and interesting. Get one everytime they come out. Look forward to them being made into movies as well.
Eddie Wenske has gone missing. In The Last Thing I Saw, Strachey fends off hired killers, but can he survive Hey Look Media?. A popular investigative reporter renowned for both his gay-coming-out memoir and a frightening book on drug cartels, Wenske vanishes while investigating a gay media conglomerate with a controversial owner and dodgy business practices. Albany PI Don Strachey's perilous search for Wenske takes him to Boston and to New York City, and finally to California and a media world that's as deadly as it is unglamorous
