A Southern author himself Douglas Ray has edited a fascinating set of poems and short stories about the situation in the South today - reveries, love songs, diatribes, tender poems, angry grit, fireworks quality celebrations, and misgivings and disappointments. I really loved this anthology Amazon Customer I really loved this anthology. Some of the pieces were a bit stronger than others but, overall, it was satisfying. It's very hard to pin down the experiences of queer Southerners. Douglas Ray did include a wide range of work- something for everyone, I suspect.
