With the support of his family and community, he raised his children for the next seven years, until he too met an unexpected and dramatic death. I absolutely loved this book I absolutely loved this book. Dwana Pusser, being the daughter of the famous southern lawman, has a unique perspective of the events that transpired. She starts by telling about her childhood and then of her father's. What is appealing of her telling is that her love for her father comes through the story. What is also great is that she doesn't try to sugar coat the events. She admits that he steps out of bound. "Walking On" hard cover book I found this book to be just as good and interesting as those written about Buford Pusser by W.R. Morris. There is of course additional information about Sheriff Pusser and I learned alittle more about his children. I believe anyone interested in Sheriff Pusser and his family, would be interested in this book. I thought this book was easy reading and it kept my attemtion. In my opinion, it was more worth the pr. Five Stars Loved her story of her Dadfilled in all the blanks that the movie didn't show.Nicely done

A no-nonsense lawman on a crusade against the mobsters and murderers ruling the state line between Mississippi and Tennessee in the 1960s, Sheriff Buford Pusser was larger than life.
