DESCRIPTION:
Words don't suffice. EXCELLENT book. EmmyJo "Amazingly Graced" is a must-read. This is not a spiritual devotional to be intimidated by, it isn't one of those stories you look hear about and say "well that would never be me," and it definitely is not one of those kind of books that purely glorify God in the most poetic - and often seemingly cheesiest - of rhymes. This is a true story of a skeptic who became successful without a reliance on God. And yet, something was missing. Lane's story is so relatable and so real you can't help but get sucked into his stories and see how deeply intertwined God is in his life, and ultimately our lives, too. The evidence is without ANY doubt. "Transparent and Genuine" according to Josh Bullard. Well worth the read. When it comes to sharing one's struggles and the subsequent dependance upon and trust in a sovereign God, this book is as transparent and genuine as it gets. I enjoyed the way that the author's journey was communicated through a series of compelling and engaging stories, beginning with his childhood and continuing through his years of service as DA.I believe that this story is a must read for the twenty-somethings in America. Faced with the lure of "climbing the corporate ladder" or moving to the top of one's career field - all for personal "fulfillment" or financial gain - is a reality for today's college grad. One of the top books to read! Well worth every penny. Ginger Tinney This is one of those books that really change you after you have read it. I laughed so hard that tears where rolling down my face in parts of this book, and then in other parts I wept, because I was so convicted. This book is on my top 10 list. I couldn't put it down and I couldn't stop thinking about it. It is gripping, brutally honest, and very well written. I will be buying more copies for friends. Thank you Wes Lane, this book has changed my prayer life and has opened my eyes.
This is a transparent eyewitness account of a supernatural experience through bloody murder, fast-pitch politics, national criminals, and faith.. Wes Lane, a career prosecutor and onetime religious scoffer, takes the stand to give evidence of how his skepticism about God came crashing down piece by piece as he personally witnessed God’s aggressive, often amazing, and always loving responses to prayer. Filled with rich accounts of how God appeared in the most magnificent ways in everything from notorious murder cases to the deepest challenges of substance addiction, Amazingly Graced shows how God wants to do a profound work in each of our lives
