Nice concept but a miss. classicrock99 Given all of the beautiful historic maps and atlases that exist for the State of Connecticut, a book of this type has the potential to be a treasure trove for the serious historian or weekend history buff. Unfortunately this book misses with both groups.First the book is a miss right off the bat given its size. In order to appreciate the old maps you need to see enough of them to appreciate them. An 8x10 book does very little to convey the beauty of maps which in general were several times this size. In order to accomodate them in this book they must either be greatly reduced or show a very small section. Neither gives a good sense of the art. GReat Book!! Pamela K Kissling I love old maps, so this book is a treasure! I saw it in a book store before ordering for much less through Amazon.
