DESCRIPTION:

"Terrible book." according to Ben. Terrible book. Has lots and lots of mistakes (my university had a pdf listing them alland it was multiple pages ). It's not a good book to learn from.. "This book is only good if you have a controls expert to point out" according to Billy. This book has many typographical errors, including calculation errors which makes it difficult to follow mathematical derivations and worked examples. Even a wrong (-) negative can throw off a new learner who is trying to follow worked steps. This book is only good if you have a controls expert to point out errors, otherwise this book will frustrate you.. Good, concise intro to controls book This book covers the basics of control systems in a very well written and easy to follow way. It ties together concepts throughout the book very well and guides the reader through the different ideas. There are a few errors in the book, which I hope are fixed and released in a new edition.

Unlike the majority of control engineering texts this book does not assume prior knowledge of the key mathematical methods, which are introduced here in relevant engineering contexts. The essential modelling techniques are supported by descriptive text covering the engineering applications of control theory and the hardware involved - instrumentation equipment, programmable logic controllers.Working through this student-centred text readers will be brought up to speed with the modelling of control systems using Laplace, and given a solid grounding of the pivotal role of control systems across the spectrum of modern engineering. .
