Four Stars Love the inside scoop. WTS said Good Story but sort of got lost at times chasing rabbits.. The premise of this book was the authors story of rising from factory worker to management. The story does a good job of illustrating the distrust between management and the hourly employees. It also is a great documentary on how hard it is to go from factory worker to management. What interrupted things a bit were the authors detours away from the story interjecting memories of events in his life that occurred away from the story. Some . "Remembering life at General Motors" according to Timothy F. Habermehl. Having been a "shop rat" at a Flint, Michigan area stamping plant, I can say that author Gall has done a good job describing his journey of eleven years as an hourly worker for General Motors. I found it interesting how his stories reflected some of my own experiences, like the fear of getting lost in these huge factories on your first day of work.
