Just loved it Amazon Customer I have come to just love Ms. Mitchell's work (her characters are always so wonderfully funny / brave / REAL for me) and I knew I would enjoy this book even though I wasn't so sure about the plot, just based upon the Amazon blurb. Normally, I really enjoy the thrill of reading about characters meeting for the first time, of recognizing that flare of attraction, of seeing characters realize they care for each other deeply. So I actually wasn't sure about a story where all of that has already happened before we get on the scene. And in fact, when Not Knowing . "Not quite knowing what to make of it" according to amf0001. SPOILERS AHEADI like K A Mitchell and have read several of her books. She writes well, and I enjoy her books, but I had a problem with this one.Spoilers you were warned.I found Jack's actions unacceptable. I can understand, a little, why he was so freaked, but as parent, I cannot accept his total dereliction of duty towards his fragile children. The fact that he thought his in laws (the ones who raised his crazy wife!) were taking care of it all was no excuse. I would have given them a bit of time and then written to them daily. I would not have left them. This story is honest & real!!! Dana~ VERY solid storyline about Jack and Tony who have been together for a while. Tony notices Jack's less than honest effort to be "straightforward" when asked about his past, and calls Jack on it. To be quite honest, Jack was an a$$ and I thought Tony was WAY TOO lenient with Jack's habit of keeping secrets. Jack knew everything about Tony, yet Tony had no clue about Jack's past. (Now I know you don't need to know EVERY, SINGLE detail your partner's past, but come on!!!) Tony tolerated way too much, but I understand he was REALLY trying to salvage his relati
Once Tony learns what kind of man Jack really is, he won’t stay. There’s too much at stake to just walk away. With Tony, he finally knows real freedom, real happiness. First, though, he has to make sure there are no lies left for Jack to hide behind. Warning: Readers should be free of any heart condition that may be affected by a hero with an overactive imagination, painful back stories, and hot sex in a variety of athletic positions. He thought that was all he ever wanted out of any relationship—until Jack beg
