Each an honest and straightforward account of the author's experience. It was interesting to observe the changes as he moved up the ladder in the system. Something of the original "hippie counselor" remained even as he matured within the system. His sense of humor came through in many of the stories. I hope he writes more about his own personal life in the future. Definitely a good read. I highly recommend it.. They truly take their lives in their hands every time they report for work. I always knew it was a challenging career but never understood just how challenging. It certainly requires one to be on their toes and have the right answers to situations we in the public community cannot imagine.
