Restoring Sprites and Midgets: An Enthusiast's guide Roger Samples This book is very good for anyone doing a restoration of these cars. It is highly detailed in both explanation and illustration. The only problem is that it does not cover everything that one needs. The gearbox is not covered and interior and body work are not covered very well. I would recomend this as one of the books needed to restore youe Sprite or Midget. It is better illustrated and more thorough than many of the other books on the subject. A great guide Dennis Wild I'm working on one and this book arrived at a good time. Written by a human with a love of the car and a sense of humor, Its detailed in ways the workshop manual is not. Take for instance the exhaust system. pretty much ignored in the workshop manual. In this book you get all the lay outs and all the attachment pieces as well. Just totally worth the money for that page alone. All the way through this book there is detailed descriptions like this. Another area I needed help with was the ignition system. C
