"Fascinating read, not for the weak" according to Carissa Johnson. Gertrude Stein is an acquired taste. In the midst of what seems to be completely meaningless strings of words, I think she is trying to say something and create art, but it comes in the form of poems and "plays" that are challenging to understand. In order to fully appreciate her, I think one needs to read her poetry out loud. This is a great compilation of her work, though, in an easy-to-search format.. John said Five Stars. good.
