Dr. Wells' text gives a comprehensive coverage of the air transport industry--one useful to those who contemplate a career in the airline or air cargo industry. Prospective students using this textbook should have a sound business foundation including production/operations management, core economics, and managerial or corporate finance. The instructor. "OK as an introduction, but not very in-depth" according to A Customer. I purchased this book as a soon-to-be MBA graduate going to work for one of the leading airlines. I must say that it did not fulfill my expectations. It IS a very good brief overview of the major issues and concerns that air carriers face. As such it may be very useful to those unfamiliar with the industry at all and those with only a limited business. "Was Cheap and informative" according to R. Turner. The book was cheap and informative, but I would recommend using online resource to obtain the same information for free. It was a textbook, but I didn't need it for a class, just self-education.
