While this book can stand on its own, you will be doing yourself a great disservice if you do not read "Reliance" first. I purchased them at the same time and read them back to back. This volume picks up the story of the characters lives as they live, love, laugh and cry . "Awesome" according to David F. Scrivens. What can I say about this story except I loved every word. I had read the first one Beneath the Palisade: Reliance and didn't think the story could get any better but found out I was wrong after reading this one.
